Complete the basic work recommended by Kaplan Bar Review (and by most bar review companies) and, in return, we will guarantee that you'll pass the bar or your money back.

The basic amount of work is as follows:

  • Attend 90% of our lectures (either in class or via Lectures-On-Demand).
  • Complete all of the assigned multiple choice questions, simulated exams, and quizzes.
  • Complete required practice essays and personalized homework.
  • Guarantee Eligibility Requirements for Complete Bar Review Course

    To be eligible for the Money Back Guarantee, you must:

    • Be a first-time bar exam taker
    • Have received a JD from an ABA approved law school
    • Be enrolled in a Kaplan Bar Review Complete Bar Review Course beginning on or after December 1, 2008
    • Complete the basic study requirements PRIOR to the date you take the bar exam [Basic study requirements include: Attending class (or do the online makeup), completing homework, and taking all the required practice exams. Specific course assignments are available through your online syllabus]
    • Take the next scheduled bar exam immediately after completing our course.
    • This offer is open to students studying with Kaplan Bar Review in the United States and Canada throughout the length of the course and to students using the full online program with residency in the United States and Canada throughout the length of the course. This offer does not apply to Kaplan Bar Review MBE 6-Day Foundation Course, MBE 3-Day Final Review Course, or General Bar Review Course. This offer is not open to students who have already taken a bar exam in any state. Students who elect to repeat the program for free rather than receive a refund may to do so only once. If you accept a free repeat, you are no longer eligible for a refund.

    If our course was to prepare you for multiple state bar exams and you pass one exam but not the other(s), you will be eligible for your choice of either a refund in the amount of the difference in price between the single state version of the program that you passed and the combined state version including the state(s) you didn't pass only OR a free repeat of the bar review program for the state you did not pass.

    All claims for refund or repeat enrollment must be received by Kaplan Bar Review by calling 1-800-523-0777 within 30 days of receiving your bar exam results, be accompanied by an official score report from the applicable state bar committee, all course materials and the Kaplan Bar Review student ID card.

  • Guarantee Eligibility Requirements for MBE

    To be eligible for the Money Back Guarantee, you must:

    • Be a first-time bar exam taker
    • Have received a JD from an ABA approved law school
    • Be enrolled in a Kaplan Bar Review Combination Bar Review program (both "6-day: Foundation" and "3-day: Final Review") beginning on or after March 1, 2009
    • Complete the basic study requirements PRIOR to the date you take the bar exam [Basic study requirements include: Attending (or completing online) every 6-day: Foundation program scheduled class before the start of your General Bar Review class, attending every 3:day: Final Review class andcompleting required homework of 1000 Kaplan Bar Review MBE questions from the "Multistate Workbook" or the MBE Qbank]
    • Take the next scheduled bar exam immediately after completing our program.
    • This offer is open to students studying with Kaplan Bar Review in the United States and Canada. This offer is not open to students who have already taken a bar exam in any state. If you elect to repeat the program for free rather than receive a refund, you may to do so only once. If you accept a free repeat, you are no longer eligible for a refund. The refund only applies to the portion of your bar preparation provided by Kaplan Bar Review, and is limited to the amount actually paid for this portion of your preparation.

    If our program was preparing you for multiple state bar exams and you pass one exam, you will be considered to have passed and, therefore, be ineligible for the guarantee. All claims for refund or repeat enrollment must be received by Kaplan Bar Review within 30 days of receiving your bar exam results, be accompanied by your official test results report from the applicable state bar committee, all course materials and your Kaplan Bar Review student ID card (if applicable).
